About Porto

Porto is an ancient beautiful city situated in the north of Portugal, facing the Atlantic Ocean and on the right bank of river Douro. Porto is the second largest city of the country and the most important in the northern area of Portugal. The city is well over 1500 years old, having a bishop since 572, and itis city center is classified as world heritage patrimony by UNESCO. Porto is also known worldwide for the renowned Port Wine.
