About me

In 2002, I started my academic life at ISEP, studying Electronic Engineering. In 2005, I moved to the University of Porto to study Computer Science at the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Sciences, University of Porto. I received my diploma in 2009.

After receiving my degree in Computer Science I enrolled on a Masters course in Computer Science at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Porto in the field of Parallel and Distributed Systems. I received my diploma in 2010.

During my studies, from 2008 to 2010, I was a researcher at Instituto de Telecomunicações under the supervision of Professor Michel Ferreira.

Currently, I'm a PhD student in Computer Science, in a dual PhD program between the Faculty of Sciences, University of Porto and InfoPortugal S.A. My advisors are Professor Michel Ferreira, from the University of Porto and Alexandre Gomes from InfoPortugal S.A.

At InfoPortugal S.A. I work as a software developer, currently being responsible for the cartographic database and all geo-processing development. See here more information of what my department services are. I will be adding, in a near future, new software development tasks to my to do list. Ultimately, I aim for an integration of my PhD research into real work situations, such as those faced by my corporate partner.

As a PhD Student/Researcher I contribute to the Geo-Networks group, wich is part of Instituto de Telecomunicações | Porto.
