Rui Prior
Short Bio
Rui Prior received the Lic. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto in 1997 and 2001, respectively, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto in 2007. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Sciences, University of Porto, and the director of the Master's degree in Network and Information Systems Engineering. He is also a researcher at Instituto de Telecomunicações, having previously worked as a researcher at INESC-Porto and LIACC. His research interests lie mostly in the broad field of computer networks (protocols, QoS, mobility, network coding). Other areas of interest are indoor localization, cloud computing, and systems in general.
