Abstract
We investigate the so-called sensor location problem
to perform traffic counts at urban intersections so as to
obtain OD data.
A particular cost function is considered by which counting each of the
directional flows $q_{ii+1}$ is given a
relatively small
cost.
We show that the optimal solutions admit an exact characterization.
