The images used on the DCC website have various origins and all usage rights have been duly secured. Decorative and illustrative images are sourced from the Freepik image bank, used under appropriate license. Several faculty members have generously provided personal photographs for integration into the portal. All photographs of individuals published on the website have been authorized expressly by their respective subjects, in compliance with current personal data protection legislation.
The Website
The current version of the website of the Department of Computer Science (DCC) of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (FCUP) was published on October 25, 2025. This second version represents a complete redesign of the institutional portal, implementing the web standards in effect at the time of publication. The website architecture integrates a content management system, adopts a responsive approach based on modular atomic design, and utilizes the latest specifications of HTML (version 5) and CSS (version 3).
Design and Development
The design, structuring, and development of the website are overseen by Sylwia Bugla, in coordination with the Department's Executive Committee.
