Click on "this link" as indicated. You'll be redirected to a screen, where you are informed that the GCP credits coupon has been sent.

You need a GMail or Google account; create one if you don't have it. Google-UPorto accounts cannot be used.
You need to have access to your faculty email, the one listed in your Sigarra profile.

First, make sure you are logged in onto Google or Gmail in your browser.
Then, follow the redemption link in the email of step 2 ("Click [here] to redeem"). You will redirect to the following screen where you need to fill in the coupon code ...
... and finally click
If all went smoothly, you will be redirected to the GCP console.
If you access the Billing options you should observe that you have 50 USD of credit.
It is recommended that you install Google Cloud SDK on your PC and/or the faculty lab PC. See more info here.
