This AI program is designed for recent graduates and industry professionals seeking to improve their technical and scientific knowledge and skills in artificial intelligence and data science, broaden their range of cross-cutting and complementary skills (including soft skills), and position themselves for highly demanding professional roles in a challenging and constantly changing world.
In particular, the proposed program is well suited to the following target audience:
– Graduates in the general areas of computer engineering and computing, computer science, and electrical and computer engineering who wish to complement their knowledge by specializing in techniques and general issues related to AI;
– Experienced professionals with a background in computer engineering and computer science who wish to broaden the scope of their skills in order to increase their ability to respond to the technological challenges of their profession.

Duration: 2 years
Structure: M:IA has a curriculum component of 72 ECTS and a dissertation component of 48 ECTS.
Accreditations: The study cycle is accredited by the Agency for Assessment and Accreditation of Higher Education (A3ES).
This master's degree is jointly run by FCUP and FEUP.

How does the program fit in with M.IA?
The Study measure works through the establishment of bilateral agreements between institutions, forming partnerships that agree on the mobility of students and teachers on a reciprocal basis.
The Internship measure does not require any prior agreement between the institutions (of origin and destination).
