Containers run the applications landscape these days and, by necessity, management platforms, like Kubernetes, enable them. But, how did we get here? And, what is the road ahead? This low-technical session addresses the motivation and business models that drove the technical innovation of the containers paradigm (In my opinion, of course).


Short biography


Rui has a Masters in Informatics from the University of Porto (FCUP-DCC). This academic education opened the doors to well-know work opportunities like FCUP, Oporto City Hall, Red Hat and Amazon Web Services. Currently, he proudly works at Red Hat as a Senior Technical Support Engineer for OpenShift.
